• 560 g / 20 oz Neill's Self Raising Soda Bread Flour
  • 568 ml / 1pt buttermilk


  1. Heat oven to 200°C (400°F, Gas Mark 6), lightly grease large baking tin.
  2. Mix buttermilk into flour with spoon or stick, and immediately turn into tin.
  3. Place tin in centre of oven and bake for 40-45 minutes. If small tins are used shorter baking time is required.

The addition of 50 g / 2 oz sugar and 225-350 g/ 8-12 oz mixed dried fruit, makes delicious fruit soda bread.
