Jenny brings "Flour Power" to lunchtime radio show
CAROLYN Stewart’s new U105 lunchtime radio show has come up with a sure-fire recipe for success – with more than a little help from celebrity chef Jenny Bristow and Northern Ireland’s leading flour mill.
Jenny and the team at Neill’s Flour have cooked up a brand new feature called ‘Tasty Bites’ which will be aired on U105 Lunchtime Bistro every Thursday.
‘Tasty Bites’ is a short and snappy cookery slot designed to get listeners back into home baking by revealing how many delicious dishes can be cooked up with flour and a few basic ingredients.
Listeners to the popular weekday show, which is aired between 12 noon and 3pm, will be guided through a number of simple recipes that have been specially designed by Jenny herself.
“We’re delighted to have Neill’s and Jenny on board as a regular feature on U105 Lunch,” said presenter Carolyn Stewart. “My show is a mix of great music, celebrity interviews and quality chit chat on everything from food and fashion to gardening and great places to picnic – so this new feature will fit in perfectly!”
Neill’s Flour key account manager Jennifer Whitley added: “It’s great to have this opportunity on U105 Lunchtime Bistro to encourage listeners to get back into the kitchen and try their hand at home baking, which can be a fun and money-saving way to prepare and enjoy food.
“With a spoonful of Neill’s Flour and a pinch of Jenny’s expertise, we’ve come up with lots of simple and tasty recipes that Carolyn’s listeners can try out at home.”
As well as launching the new ‘Tasty Bites’ feature on U105 Lunchtime Bistro, Neill’s Flour is also sponsoring the programme’s ‘Food for Thought’ feature every Tuesday, which looks at the many different aspects of food and the food industry at large.
