Nothing tastes better than a freshly baked scone or a gorgeous slice of homemade apple pie served with fresh cream. Everyone remembers as a child coming home to the smell of baking in their mother's kitchen and the warm and cosy feeling that it produced. There is a certain nostalgia and sentiment associated with home baking.

Well there appears to be a revival in homebaking and at Neill's we are excited about this and we applaud the governments initiative to introduce cooking lessons into all schools by September 2008.

Baking is fun and is a great way to spend time with young children. People who bake agree that it makes them happy and relaxed and it is very satisfying. So if it is your first time, and it may take a little practice, or if you are an experienced baker we hope you will enjoy some of our recipes and that you will also try out some new ideas from our Jenny Bristow selection.
